Mista Ballista and many of our siege machines are built with whatever we find laying around. We make lots of trips to local scrapyards to buy parts on the cheap, and even find raw material by the side of the road. While this keeps costs down, we often have problems finding certain raw materials for reduced prices. The following people have graciously donated materials to help build Mista Ballista.

If you can donate materials to the team, we'd love to hear from you. Send mail to our captain Eric.

We'd be happy to display your name or company on our machine.

Here is a list of some materials we still need for our ballista, but similar items we may be able to adapt or use on a different machine.

  • Rope and technical support from a cordage engineer for our Skein
  • Rigging fittings and materials for heavy lifting and machine cocking.
  • Steel and aluminum structural I-beams, pipe, and box stock
  • Knowledge and materials for building composite structural parts
  • Wire rope and fittings for our winch
  • Hydraulic motors, controls, lines, and fittings
  • Welding consumables
  • Milling, grinding, and cutting consumables
  • Pumpkins
  • and of course money!
