Kid-A-Pult

|||
What do you build when your young kids see you playing with lots of catapults which are all to dangerous for them to play with? They know it's fun. They see you launching stuff. They clearly need a catapult of their own. I designed this Kid-A-Pult to be just dangerous enough to injure my kids, but not kill them. They know it's dangerous, and they know they have to work together to make it work. They love it. Built on a piece of Ballista Jr's old spring frame, this spoonapult is of straight forward design. A Spring out of a couch is positioned a fair distance from the barn-door style hinge that attaches the arm to the base. The whole thing was built from junk and left-overs from my shop.
Put your projectile in the bucket, and you are ready for launch!
