In August of 2009, Team Tormentum brought out our little Hatra Ballista to represent the earliest age of bunker busting technologies for the TV Show "Lock N Load" with R. Lee Ermey. You can get the DVD from the History Channel.

The whole event took place at the Yankee Siege's home in New Hampshire. Here is a nifty picture showing our little Hatra Ballista in front of Yankee Siege.

Camera crew takes a few pictures of Hatra Jr before the interview takes place.

Here's proof that Eric, Kevin and Jeff got to hang out with Gunny! Hoo-rah!

Gunny interviews Eric near Hatra Ballista. Being interviewed by Gunny was interesting. He probably thought I was a bit shy, and liked answering questions for me. I would have liked to talk more about how a Hatra Ballista works, but never really got the chance.

Our target for the day. A few yellow plywood people on top of some scaffolding. We launched stuff at them for an hour, got really close by lowering our launch angle, but never hit them. We went over, under, left and right, but no hit. Very disappointing.

Gunny takes aim with the Hatra. Before launch he said: "Now tell me what to do, I've never fired one of these before." Imagine that. That might have something to do with the fact that the Hatra Ballista historians he interviewed before have a different interpretation of what the Hatra Ballista mechanics are.

Oh yea, Yankee Siege was there too. That's the real reason Gunny was in New Hampshire. They threw a big rock.

Yankee Siege had the advantage of being able to throw flaming Pianos.

Really big flaming pianos that flew through the air.

Really big flaming pianos that flew through the air and then got interviewed by Gunny. Neat.

They then squished a car with a giant mace-ball on a crane... thing.

You know, life doesn't get much better than this if you're into catapults.

Hoo Rah!
